Is a PSA 10 worth it?

For popular cards, usually yes: a PSA 10 is scarcer than the card itself, so it often sells for several times a PSA 9. For cheaper cards the grading fee can be more than the premium, so compare the PSA 10 and PSA 9 sale prices for that exact card before you grade or buy.

PSA vs CGC: which is better for Pokémon cards?

Both are trusted graders. PSA is the largest and its slabs usually sell for the highest prices, especially PSA 10s. CGC is often cheaper and faster to grade with, but the same grade typically sells for less. Compare recent sales for the exact card and grader.
