Best Pokémon packs for rare cards, and which to start with
The best pack is the one whose odds and prices you can see before you buy. Here is how to compare packs and where to start.
What to compare
Look at three things: the price, the chance of the card you want, and the expected value, meaning how much card value a pack returns on average. Physical booster packs usually return only about 20% of their price in card value, and their odds are not published card by card.
On GrailCart every card in a pack is listed with its odds, and packs return about 90% of their price in card value on average.
Where to start
Start with a cheap pack to see how opening, shipping and selling back work, then move up once you know what you are chasing. Every pull is a real card, and anything you don't want can be sold back instantly at 100% of its value.
Chasing a specific Pokémon

If you want one Pokémon, pick the pack with the best chance of it rather than the most expensive pack. Our Pokémon pages rank every pack by your chance of pulling that Pokémon.
